We're going to use a VG224 with MGCP for mostly fax and modems (one analog phone). What are the benefits of going with Loopstart or Ground Start? Any negatives with either?
The only think out of the ordinary is for faxes, if the fax machine is busy were going to do a forward on busy to a second fax extension.
thanks in advance,

Hi, with ground start you should be able to give the connected device positive disconnect supervision. But you have to check first if the device supports rond start (few do).
Then I'm not sure how do you set call forward for a MBGP port, if was SCCP that would be a simple config in the extension.
