VG248 vs VG224 vs ATA188

Hi,

My client is asking me what is the best solution to enable analog com on his cluster. Excepted wire pb (RJ45, RG11...), do you any idea on what is the best choice for fax and analog modem to be included in a ccm cluster ?

Does VG248 is end-of-sale ?

Thanks

luc

Re: VG248 vs VG224 vs ATA188

From what I hear, the VG248 is end of development at least. No new features. They are concentrating on the vg224 right now. Since the VG224 is IOS based, you can expect new versions pretty regularly. The vg248 is menu based and hasn't had an update in a while. The four pack of VG224s is very competitively priced too.

The ATA188 are already end of life and have been replaced by a SIP product of all things!!?!?! I've also heard problems with G3 (and super G3) faxing on ATAs.

Betting on the vg224 wouldn't be a bad thing right now.
