VIC2-2FXS card problem

Dear friends,

I have Cisco 3945 router. I inserted in this router VIC2-2FXS card, but the interface is not visible in the configuration.

What is the problem? Do you have any advice? Is it neccessary to change IOS?

Usually in such queries, attaching " show tech " ouput of the router would help immensely. Looks like the card is not detected, " show diag " output should give the hint.

If you dont mind, attach " Show Tech " output of the router so that we can pinpoint the fault.

But there is no "voice-port" in configuration and I can't configure it.

I want to mention that IOS is: "flash0:c3900-universalk9-mz.SPA.150-1.M1.bin"

Is it possible that VIC2-2FXS card I have isn't compatible with the router 3945?

This card worked in the router 2811.

VIC2-2FXS card is very much compatible/supported with 3945. In your case, looks like you inserted this card without any network modules. Pls use NM-HD- type of network module & then insert the VIC2-2FXS card on the NM. Thus you should be able to configure it without any issues.

I just found that the VIC2-2FXS is not compatible/supported for 3900 series router. I need VIC3-2FXS/DID.
