Level 6

I need to set up a voicemail box for a remote user.

This user will not have a phone on the system but will need a voicemail box set up in Unity.

Customer will call hit voicemail directly and leave a message.

Branch office has 2851 in SRST mode back to CUCM 6.1

You have couple of options here:

1. Since CM 5.0 you are able to have directory numbers not tied to devices, so you can use a DN with the DID of the user and set call forward all to VM

2. You can create a CTI Route Point or CTI port that has the DID as an extension and again set to call forward all to VM

3. You can create a Transaltion Pattern that transalted the DID digits to the VM pilot.

Obviosuly you will need a matching extensoin on a subscriber in Unity.

HTH,

Chris

HTH,

I think this is exactly what I need. I will set up and rate.

Thank you very much.

So to make sure I understand 100%

And to walk through my logic and your points.

User A

DID - 915-555-3693

CTI Route Point Device Name

Remote_VM_User_A

-place in dp, css, location

Associate Line[1]

DN - 3693

place in route PT

-voicemail profile, css

CFW settings

cfwall check the voicemail box

-save

then the translation pattern for the did to ext?

Does that sound right?

You got it.
