guys, we're planning to implement voip in our organization. just wanna ask, what is the best practice when it comes to assigning vlans for ip phones? does it need separate vlan (vlan 10 for computers, vlan 20 for ip phones) or same vlan?

When you implement a voip network the best practice is to have two VLANs, normaly a native VLAN for data traffic and the voice VLAN (or auxiliary). This is recommended for security reasons, address space conservation (use private address for the ip phones) and easy of management.
Regards.
Hope this helps if so pls rate post.
