WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN Cisco Unified CallManage AND Cisco Unified Communications Manager

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN Cisco Unified CallManage AND  Cisco Unified Communications Manager

Re: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN Cisco Unified CallManage AND

Unified Communications Manager used to be called Callmanager (Version 4 and below I think)? But they are the same thing.

Also, Callmanager express is the router-based version of Callmanager.

Re: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN Cisco Unified CallManage AND

CallManager refers to the Windows-based product which is still around as

version 4.3.

Communications Manager was a name change that coincided with the intent to swithover to the Linux platform version of the software.

Re: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN Cisco Unified CallManage AND

Definitely Unified Communications Manager, but try and get some more "general voip" training first (try CVOICE).

Re: WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN Cisco Unified CallManage AND

Cisco has moved away from the Windows-based platform.  Yes it is still around, but the majority of customers are now on the Linux appliance platform.  So, that's the way to go software-wise.  It'd also be good to get some general networking knowledge such as CCNA, CCNA Voice.
