What will happen when phone reset in SRST mode?

Hi All,

 

What will happen when phone reset in SRST mode? 

Suppose the phone lost the connectivity to the DC, where all the servers placed[Including primary,secondary and TFTP] And the phones fallback to SRST mode.

And being in srst mode

What will happen if phone restart?

What will happen if phone reset?

Will they fall back to SRST again

If the phone is rebooted due to power outage it will normally register back to SRST. If you factory reset settings it will not, as it will need contact the primary CUCM to get the configuration.

You are not supposed to do that while the devices are in SRST. It is not supported/recommended.
With IP Phones if might be fine since they cache the config file and won't request for it again. With devices like an ATA, if the device is reset while in SRST, it won't register back since the TFTP services will be down as well.
Something to remember just in case.
