Where can I find the SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml files please

Good  Day All,

I am trying to find the location on call manager for the SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml files.

I want to try and make an 8961 phone work with a third party PBX.

I have installed a demo copy of CM 8.0.3 which thankfully, has the correct load files.

The phone registers with call manager.

Both extensions are showing up correctly, and I can dial one extension to another.

I need to get my hands on the .cnf.xml file so I can edit it and make the phone work with the third party PABX.

If anyone knows how to retrieve that xml.cnf file either from CM or from the phone; could you help me out please?

I also think that since the phone is working with Call Manager, that if I were to remove the passwords defined on the third party pbx; I should be able to get the phone to register with it as well.

Any ideas are most appreciated.

Thanks very much ,

Regards,

Amanda

Re: Where can I find the SEP<MAC>.cnf.xml files please

Indeed Amanda, just as you said, from the CMD of windows:

tftp get SEP.cnf.xml

It is a very useful tool to to see configuration files of IP Phones have been updated correctly or not.

Glad you got it sorted, have a great day,

John
