Who Called an External Number?

Is there any way to find out who called an external number?

We had someone call from 918-695-83XX.(External number)

They said they were receiving calls from out auto attendant line (918-923-4400)

Some of our internal numbers are masked with the 4400 number.

Is there any way to run a report on 918-695-83XX to find out who internally called that number?

  Hi, Are you running Call

Hi,

Are you running Call Manager?

Thanks

Hi @rogerscounty,If you're

Hi @rogerscounty,

If you're using CME, you can configure Call Detail Records to keep track of the calls that are being made inside your enviroment. One simple way to acomplish this is with the following commands:

-

# logging buffered <size of the buffer you want to configure>

# dial-control-mib retain-timer <how long you want to retain the information in the buffer>

# dial-control-mib max-size <number of entried in the dial control history table>

-

For example, if you want to dedicate 512,000 bytes of memory for CDR and want to keep a maximum of 700 CDRs for 7 days (10,080 Minutes), you have to do the following:

-

# logging buffered 512000

# dial-control-mib retain-timer 10080

# dial-control-mib max-size 700

-

Finally, if you want to send those records to a syslog server, you have to put the "gw-accounting syslog" global configuration command and the "logging x.x.x.x" global configuration command, where x.x.x.x is the IP of the syslog server.

Hope it could help you.

Martin, IT Specialist
