Why NBAR doesn't recognize RAS?

Hi,

I'm trying to mark signalization RAS traffic. I'm using the following class-map:

class-map match-any signal
match protocol h323

The problem is that NBAR doens't recognize the RAS traffic.

Please advice if I'm missing something or there is way to that with NBAR.

By the way NBAR recognizes successful the RTP traffic.

Thank you.

Re: Why NBAR doesn't recognize RAS?

Hi,

It is possible that the h323 pdlm does included all the associated ras ports, unfortunately I can't check it right now?

You could create your own custom application which defines a different range of ports, for example:-

ip nbar custom new_ras_ports tcp range 1718 1719

You can then match this protocol within your policy-map instead of match protocol.

Hope this helps

Allan.
