Windows OS Install on a Call manager 5.1 Server

Hi,

I due to replace an existing HP Call Manager Server (Publisher) with new hardware containing larger Hard Drives. My current CM install is based on Version 4.1(3) with Win OS.

However the new hardware an MCS7835H2-K9-CMA2 has been delivered with CM 5.1 pre-installed.

I have tried installing a Windows OS on this server using CM V4.1(3) upgrade disks without success.

The HW detection disk reports an error that THis OS version does not support the selected Server.

The Installation/Recovery CD OS 2000.4.3(a) reports The Installation was unable to retrieve needed system information, error code 1.

Can anybody please advise whether it is possible to install CM V4 on a CM5 appliance?.

Thanks

Ian.

Re: Windows OS Install on a Call manager 5.1 Server

According to the following link, this server does not support CCM prior to 5.1.

Hope this helps. If so, please rate the post.
