Windows Updates

Greeting all,

I'm new to the forum and to Cisco VOIP technology in general. I was reviewing my Call Manager servers and my Unity server and I noticed Windows Update isn't enabled. We've been running this system for about a year now and I'm sure nothing has been done to it. Is there anything to be mindful of? I'm very picky on having my OS patched and I'm guessing there are patches needed for both Call Manager and Unity. Where should I start? Any advice would be helpful.

It is not supported to have the Windos update enabled. The reason is that you can NOT apply patches to the CCM server from the Microsoft site, all needs to be downloaded from the CCO site.

For Unity you can apply the Microsoft patches directly from their site as long as Cisco has approved them.

What OS do you have at this moment on both Unity and CCM?

What patches do you have?
