WRT54G and SPA2102 - VoIP problems

Hi All,

I have a Linksys WRT54G connected to the Internet and the following ports are enabled:

5060-5061 SIP

16384-16483 RIP

Then there is a Linksys SPA2102 connected to the WRT54G.  The SPA2102 routes to the Internet (e.g. there is a computer connected to it's Ethernet port) but VoIP doesn't work well.

Can someone offer some assistance with this setup.  Please advise if additional information is required.

There are a lot of variables to watch for.   What service are you connecting to?  Skype?  GoogleTalk?   VPN back to corporate for something?  OCS?   If you are on wireless, you could have issues with drops, etc.  Ping from your workstation to the WRT gateway (192.168.x.x or whatever it is)  Do you see dropped packets?

Is your internet service good? (upload/download)?  Do you see dropped packets pinging something on the internet  say www.yahoo.com.   Have you rebooted your DSL or cable modem?

Did it work before?
