Hi to all,

I have WS-SVC-CMM with 2 interfaces interface GigabitEthernet1/0

ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.252.0

no ip proxy-arp

no negotiation auto

no keepalive

interface FastEthernet3/0

what is the fastethernet for?

In CMM version 12.2(13)ZP3, you may see Ethernet interface and in release 12.4(x) the interface will be reconfigured as FastEthernet interface. The IP address and mask for these interfaces has to be configured from the CMM CLI.

The FastEthernet interfaces are used for RTP (MTP/XCODE/CONF) only. The signaling for the MTP/XCODE/CONF services will go through GigEth interface.
