IP V4 to V6 Migration

Hi,

One thing to consider is routing.

If the public IP addresses are hosted on an ASA firewall then this device does not as yet support dynamic IPv6 routing.

Therefore if you want to route to the IPv6 addresses of these devices from within your internal network you will need to inject a static route into your routing table.

Cheers

Re: IP V4 to V6 Migration

So do you have a pool of global IPv6 addresses?

If so assign these addresses to your servers as required.

Are you plannig to keep your IPv4 addresses? If so you can run dual stack IPv4/IPv6 on these servers.
