IPv6 Security

Hi,

I have recently seen that CISCO implemented a few interesting features to improve IPv6 Security on routers.

For instance, it is now possible to limit the number of Neighbor on an Interface which was at the same time the simplest and the very best parade against NDP Exhaustion Attack! Well Done !

I have also seen something which reminds me NDPmon Linux tools on Cisco Routers.

Is there a document which summarize these new features somewhere ?

TIA & Rgds,

Fred

IPv6 Security

Fred,

All new features should cascade to configuration guide. For IPv6 first hop sec:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios-xml/ios/ipv6/configuration/15-2mt/ip6-first-hop-security.html#GUID-5B40C0D5-3F0D-49FE-AA97-297F1B174BA9

It might take some time to move it there and different platforms will have different capabilities.

M.
