Scrolling in Running Config output where the --more-- option is present

Hi,

I used to be able to scroll with my keyboard arrow keys inside the output of the running config when the "sh run" command is issued after filtering the output.

When I issued the sh run command the output stops with the --more-- option.

Then I would press "/" with some text to filter/find like "/ip".

When the first line that matched the text "ip" I could use my arrow keys to scroll up to see for example the interface that has this ip address configured on it.

/ip
filtering...
address-family ipv4
exit-address-family
!
address-family ipv6
exit-address-family
!
--More--

When I press my arrow keys now it just ends the output and goes back to the command line.

Must be something easy hopefully :)

Thanks!

Hello,

Hello,

I have to press return to scoll down one line or space bar to scroll down a page.

There is another way to do it. You can use sh run | include "word" to find all the lines that contain that word.
