CME 8.6 Setup for Jabber for iPhone

Hi

I had the exact same issue and was trying to register from the data wireless network (not the voice wireless)

Once the iPhone was connected to the wireless on the same subnet of the Voice vlan, all worked a treat.

Hope that helps

Cheers

Richard

Have followed the above instructions, but I'm still getting "Unable to verify account" on the iPhone and "Looking for CUPC/DirLookupDialRules.xml" on the UC500 TFTP debug. I have the iPhone connected to the Voice VLAN, am getting an address of 10.1.1.12 and can ping 10.1.1.1 from the phone.

Hi,

If your Jabber is requesting the dialrules xml files, let's configure them:

CME 8.6 Setup for Jabber for iPhone

Hi Guys,

I have successfully implemented jabber for CME with amazing results.

Only issue i have now is that the jabber configuration is locked on the phone and i cannot seem out figure how to unlock it to edit settings like directory.

I am currently pointingthe directory to our Active directory which requires authentication but i cannot enter the credential under voice register template.

Any help please.

Regards

Paul

Re: CME 8.6 Setup for Jabber for iPhone

I was having issues getting Jabber for iPhone working and this fixed it.  Does MWI work for you with Jabber on the iPhone?

I should note mine is in a shared line configuration with a sccp phone on CCME Version 9.1.

Hi !!

I'm using EasyVPN to remote connect on my 1861, and I have this problem too.
IPSec VPN Connection is OK, I'm able to open any LAN  local resource, I've tried any possible combination but I'm always receiving "unable to verify account".

I've tried similar configuration on a 887W and works perfectly (CME 9.1) but on CME 8.6 I'm getting this error.

At the end, I'm always running "create profile" under voice register global anytime I do changes in my configuration.

Re: CME 8.6 Setup for Jabber for iPhone

Hello, I understand the problem you have when you connect by vpnclient, if so, this happens because the vpnclient're riding on the vlan 1 (data), not on vlan 100 (voice). I spend a configuration of vpnclient where settles on the vlan 100.
