Jabber 9.6.0 failed to reconnect after Mac been put to sleep

Experts,

I was wondering if anyone experienced this issue before? Some of our users are reporting that their Jabber client 9.6.0 failed to reconnect after their Mac been put to sleep (i.e. closing the lid).

What interesting is that, this is happening only to subset of users.
