Jabber 9.7.1 and Collaboration Edge (Expressway Edge)

We are running CUCM 10.0.1 and IMP 10.0.1

Majority of clients are Jabber for Windows 9.7.1 with EDI (Enhanced Directory Integration) as the laptops are part of the Windows Domain.

We have a few BDI clients direct to LDAP.

If we deploy Expressway Edge X8.1.1 and a Jabber client connects outside the firewall does the Jabber client switch from talking to AD/LDAP/Domain Controller/Global Catalog to UDS (CallManager?)

How does that switchover occur from LDAP to UDS? or is the client stupid and all Jabber directory lookups just quit working?

I was also trying to find how many Jabber clients can talk to UDS on CUCM 10.0.1.  I thought I saw a design document.

The clients when on Internet and connected through Expressway, they will do UDS. This is done with the cisco-uds DNS SRV record

Once they login inside the premises, they switch to EDI/BDI because they would have AD infro from config file/UC Service and local connectivity to the AD
