Jabber for iPhone

All,

 

is ther eanything differnet that needs to be done to get Jabber working on an iPhone?  Several Windows clients have been installed w/o a hitch.  Just had a user try to do an iPhone setup and it did not work.  Seemed to not like the info being proivided but this same user went to is Windows laptop and installed it with no problems.

 

Jabber on the iPhone did not ask him for the IP address of the Presence server though.

jabber for iPhone ver 9.6

jabber for iPhone ver 9.6 uses SRV to identify whether your domain is registered with webex (cloud) or om premise ( cisco im and presence); if one such record is either not created or is not accessible via iPhone; post timeout; we will see a screen where it will  present us with two options for manual sign in;

Select Account

Webex Messenger

CUCM IM and Presence;

 

you will select IM and Presence; and then follow that we username and password of the uid and ip address of the presence server.

 

this should let you sign in to jabber; though this is referred to as the manaul sign in format.
