Does the Jabber Guest SDK for iOS and Android support instant messaging? If not is there a mobile SDK for Jabber that does?

No, the Jabber Guest SDK for iOS and Android doesn't support instant messaging.  There is not a mobile SDK for Jabber that does, just one for the web:  https://developer.cisco.com/site/jabber-websdk/overview/overview/
