I installed Cisco Jabber 9.7.2 on our Windows 2008 R2 server running Terminal Services. The logged in admin is able to sign in as anyone and use the client. However, if a regular user is logged in to the terminal and tries to sign in to jabber, the error message is "cannot communicate with the server" what settings or security needs to be modified to get this to work. It works fine on Windows 2003 terminal server.

Thanks for the information.
Collect the PRT and packet captures for both the working and non-working scenerio.
Some other test that you can do is
when the user is logged in and jabber is unable to login, try logging into the CUPS server webpage.
You can also check for DNS or reverse DNS issues.
PS:-Sorry for the earlier confusion.

Swathi
