no decline option on jabber

Hello,

when call is made using jabber, the receiver is having no option to decline call..  only answer option is available..

Please help..

Hi Sonam,

are you calling an internal phone from jabber, if yes what is the phone model number that you are calling to.

Hello Jitender,

The problem is not only while calling from jabber to internal phone, but also while calling from jabber to jabber and phone to phone too.

phone model is cisco 8845 and cisco 7821.

Thank you for your help.  Do you mean that if users does not have VM profile, then decline option will not be there?

Is there any solution to it  without using VM profile ?

Hi Sonam,

That's a possibility, and troubleshooting always says go by the process of elimination. can you test it on one device and see if it helps or not.

When VM profile is given it is showing decline option.  but the scenario here, is voile mail iwill not be given to many . How can we have decline option and when declined it will not go to voice mail. ?

Looks like a requirement if you are seeing it on latest version of jabber, as a workaround you can assign fake VM profile and see if that works for you.

Hi Jitender,

i tried creating fake vm profile as you instructed but  it is found not working still. In jabber there isn't decline option and for cisco ip phones   it says feature unavailable when decline option is pressed.

There's no way around this, decline is the equivalent of idivert on the phones, if there's not a valid VM profile, it will not work.

If you wish this behavior to be changed, you'll need to get in touch with your SE/AM to submit a PER so it's considered for a future version.
