no video or audio jabber 4.4 intermittent

It seems that on an intermittent basis we have challenges with Jabber users sending their audio and video.  The patterns we have is that it is to calls to codecs,  If the receive site disconnects and calls the jabber user--the video and audio usually comes back on or is received.  Our current work around is if both parties use our bridge, the problem is not present.   we are using Jabber 4.4 .  It has happened to a couple codec to codec units but that appears to have stopped (at least for now).  The jabber user can see and hear the codec site he or she has called.
