Phone Numbers Display as IM Address

Hi,

I've seen this known issue in the release notes

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/Windows/9_2_5/JABW_BK_CAAD3F25_00_cisco-jabber-for-windows-release-notes_chapter_01.html#JABW_RF_C943D03B_00

In some circumstances, phone numbers display as IM addresses, for example, #######@domain.

When phone numbers display as IM addresses, users cannot call the number. Likewise, because the phone numbers display as IM addresses, the client displays presence and incorrect number types in the user interface.

This issue occurs if URI dialing is enabled on Cisco Unified Communications Manager. This issue only affects phone numbers that are not in the user's contact list or in the corporate directory.

I'm facing this issue.

I'm running CUCM 8.6.2-23900 and I've currently no integration with VCS. All the topics about URI dialing refer to this kind of integration.

However, I cannot find the "URI dialing enabled" parameter on my CUCM in order to disable it...

Thanks.

JC

Phone Numbers Display as IM Address

In the 9.0+ releases, it's considered "enabled" if the SIP Profile of the CSF device has "Use Fully Qualified Domain Name in SIP Requests" but this shouldn't be relevent in 8.6 because line-side URI dialing didn't exist yet.
