Hello Anton,

The Ports and Protocols section of the Installation and Configuration Guide has been updated with the ports used between Cisco Expressway-C and the Jabber Guest server:

Hi there,

Please see this section of Jabber Guest documentation for more information on ports and protocols used in the solution.  Does this answer your question?

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/jabber/Guest/10_0/icg/JABC_BK_J0FC634A_00_jabberc-installation-and-configuration-guide/JABC_BK_J0FC634A_00_jabberc-installation-and-configuration-guide_chapter_010.html#JABC_RF_P51279BF_00

mrmccann, thank you for your answer.

I have not found which ports we need to open between Expressway-C and Jabber Guest based on this document.

Will be i right if i say that we need open this ports: 5060/5061 for SIP and 8443 for HTTPS?

Our typical deployments don't have a firewall separating the Expressway-C and Jabber Guest server, so I'm confused as to why you need to "open" ports between these servers?

You are correct that SIP and HTTPs are the communication protocols between the Expressway-C and Jabber Guest, so those would be the ports these servers would be communicating on.

Can you explain more about the need for this information, so I can ensure our documentation covers it appropriately?

Mike

Information about ports is requested by Security Deparment. Without this information Jabber Guest deployment can be forbidden.

OK, I understand.  We will look into adding this information to our documentation.

Thank you.
