Set up SIP URI dialing

Hi There,

I  have tried to enable SIP URI dialing, unfortunately with no success  yet. Here you can see what I have done, maybe one of you can tell me  what is missing:

  • Set up LDAP sync, assign msRTCSIP-PrimaryUserAddress to Directory URI (because of Lync interoperability)
  • Associate DNs to CSF and BOT devices
  • Associate the directory URIs to directory numbers
  • Set "phones" as Directory URI alias partition
  • Modify a SIP profile (named Jabber) by the followings
    • Set dial string interpretation with 0-9,*,# and +
    • Use FQDN in SIP request
    • Allow bfcp presentation
  • Assign the Jabber SIP profile to CSF and BOT devices
  • Set the DNs route partition as directory URI alias (phones)
  • Modify jabber-config.xml and upload
    • <DirectoryURI>msrtcsip-primaryuseraddress</DirectoryURI> in Directory section
    • <EnableSIPURIDialling>true</EnableSIPURIDialling> in Policies section
  • Restart tftp server and re-logon with Jabber

We have 9.1.2.11900-12 Call Manager, 9.1.1.10000-8 IM and Presence server and 9.6/9.7 Jabber clients.

Is there anything I missed or misconfigured?

Thank you,

Laci

Hi Laci,if you put

Hi Laci,

if you put DirectoryURI in the directory section uri dialing becomes unavailable in the client.

From the documentention I got that it belongs to policies. But if I put it there my click to call URI is still the e-mail address and not msRTCSIP-PrimaryUserAddress. So I will do some research here.

One thing I found is the topic contact resolution. If I signed in to jabber my name was not displayed. Instead it was my msRTCSIP-PrimaryUserAddress.

To fix this you need to add this to jabber-config.xml.

  <UseSIPURIToResolveContacts>true</UseSIPURIToResolveContacts>
  <SipUri>msRTCSIP-PrimaryUserAddress</SipUri>
  <UriPrefix>sip:</UriPrefix>

Regards,

Paul

Hi Paul,Finaly I have

Hi Paul,

Finaly I have modified the configuration with mail attribute (instead of msrtcsip-primaryuseraddress) and it worked.

You were right regarding the policies section :-)

Thanks, Laci
