I am rolling out jabber client on Iphone. My IP telephony environment is CUCM 9 and Presence 9. When I try login to the initial screen firstname.lastname@example.org, it fails. I try and manually setup the account by putting the presesnce server address and username and password and it still fails
If i try configuring the Jabber client on an Android device, it works without issue. Is there something i am missing for the Iphone
Be careful which value you enter. The service discovery screen that appears first is asking for your email address. It does this so it can take the domain and do a DNS SRV lookup to find the IM&P server. Apparently that isn't setup in your case. The second screen - which Jabber irritatingly copies your email address to - is asking for your USERNAME. Many users get tripped up by this because most on-premise installs are using sAMAccountName as the username, not email.
