Hello everyone, i've just downloaded Jabber video. But i'm finding sobre trouble with the login.
"Login failed - due to registration faliure"
Can anyone help me?
Hi, I also have trouble logging in but only behind the corporate firewall and I haven't found any documentation as to what they try to do and on what ports.
Here is a link to Document 23195, https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-23195. This will provide the port information you are seeking.
1. Before you logged into CJV, there's a sign-in settings, please post the screen capture of the window.
2. You downloaded the installer from the sign-up page correct? This will not work if you use other
variations of jabber/movi @ cisco.com page.
This is the screenshot of the sign-in settings
yes i did download the client from the page and i do not have any other jabber or movi client on that pc. Also keep in mind that the same download did work without a problem on my home computer.
I have the same problem. Opening ports given in the Document 23195 did not resolve the issues. Our firewall is Cisco ASA.
I have seen this behind our Cisco ASA. The ASA appears to intercept the TLS traffic to on port 5061 and cause certificate fail errors when the client attempts to register.
From a quick look it appears this may be due to a tls-proxy facility on the ASA, which I assume would require some tweaking to leave this TLS traffic unmunged.
the following is the information i needed to change in ASA in order for Jabber to work:
The existing config was:
match port tcp eq 5061
So instead of match the port 5061 we can match an ACL:
Access-list TEST deny ip any host 18.104.22.168
Access-list TEST deny ip host 22.214.171.124 any
Access-list TEST permit tcp any any eq 5061
no match port tcp eq 5061
match access-list TEST
Keep in mind that 126.96.36.199 is the ip address of the JAbber server that we are connecting to.
Let me know if that helped.
