Hello,
We need to speed up our backup server network at work and we are thinking of adding 10GB network cards to our servers and putting them into a 10GB switch, what switch model would you recommend for this?
Thanks

Hi,
Couple of choices here:
1-Nexus 5548. This switch by default gives you 32 1/10Gig ports (SFP). You can add a 16 port module to it to get a total of 48 ports.
2-Cisco 4524-X. This switch will give you 24 1/10Gig ports (SFP). There are different models with different amount of ports for this switch.
For data center/server usually the Nexus is a better choice.
