10GB T module on 3750X

Is it ok to use the 10GB-T ports in a 3750X module for server and/or Storage Array connectivity?  What are the downsides of doing this vs handing off to a 10GBT switch like a Nexus instead...  (port buffer, latency etc)

The 3750 series is a bit "infamous" for lack of port buffer resources causing egress drops.  However, depending how other ports and/or QoS are being used, buffer tuning and deactivation of QoS might (even totally) mitigate.

That said, unless your SAN is FC, there are other switches that might be suitable such as the 4500, 4900, 6500 and 6800 series.
