12406 normal IOS not XR IOS

please is the PRP2 with 12406 normal IOS not XR IOS will give the same performance,

i mean is there any performance degration if we use normal IOS not XR IOS in the 12400 router.

also is the 12406 with normal IOS not XR will be also fully distributed cef.

Hi,

12000 series is a complete distributed platform and work only this way so running IOS or XR doesn't change this. Performance will not be impacted. The only thing is XR supports only PRP2 and Engine 3 and 5 LC
