I have 2 1900's f0/26 & f0/27 "suspended no link-beat" the led's don't come on, have entered trunk on. I get this if I'm connecting to the other 1900 or aui of a 2500

Think those ports are 100 meg only so if you are trying to plug into a 10 meg port on a 1900 or a 10 meg/half aui port it will not come up .

Yes port 26 & 27 are trunk links and 100mbps, but from what I can see in my class book, the trunk links on one switch feeds a trunk link on the next (daisy chain) I don't know if an aui on 2500 rtr is half or full duplex or what.

Thanks for responding.

I'm just trying to learn so I can go for ccna, thought buying routers and switches was the best way to learn how to configure them.but my book doesn't cover switches but 1 small chapter. not very comprehensive.
