I have a 2811 with two HWIC-4ESW installed in "stacket" mode and i would like to know if there is any way to configure the native Fastethernet port in the same VLAN used on the HWIC's ports, using the same ip network ?

This is one I have been want to test for some time now. It seem every time I get a 4esw it has to be in production now. The site that had this requirement changed and so I never found out for sure.

My theory on how to make this work is to put a bridge group on both the vlan interface and the physical port. You then put in a BVI for the bridge group to do the routing. This is the same configuration you would use when you bridge the 2 internal ports together but in this case you bridge it to the vlan.

Will it work I don't know. It will take the commands but I never had a chance to test.

If you do attempt this can you post your findings.
