2821 redundant ethernet to 4502 switches

I have two 4503 switches configured with HSRP, primary/backup.

There is an MPLS router that is uplinked to the Primary switch and that is all.

The MPLS router has two gigabit ethernet ports and one is free.

What would be the best way to configure the second etherent port for redundancy to the second switch?

Would a VLAN work and put the two ports as access mode in the vlan?

Re: 2821 redundant ethernet to 4502 switches

hi,

Because of the need to connect to two 4503, you cannot use etherchannel.

Then the solution is to configure two L3 ports onthe 2821 in different network.

And configure two vlan for this interconnexion in the 4503.

then, the two ports on 4503 are in access mode in two differents vlan. And these 4503 have default route to the different ip address of the 2821.
