2950+dot1X issue in Username

In cisco 2950 when we trying to run 802.1x protocol i am not able to set Username. it is mandotry for running telnet mode (Minico no probs). After enabling "aaa newmodel" command in config it wil ask for username when we try to login next time. Do help me in fixing the issue. Need more clarifications - sathesh@net-o2.com

To configure the username, you have to do the following:

conf t

username cisco password cisco

Do you have other problem? Please paste the switch config.
