2950 flash space

Hello ,

I was trying to free some space on cico 2950 , whichh has lots of files in flash .

cople of queries

1)please advise which files can be removed

2) can i remove "c2950-hdiag-mz.121-9.EA1" not sure what this is for ?

I see the 2.4 Mb free but used space is 3Mb not sure why I cant see 2Mb space

The HTML directory holds files approximately 2 Mb in total size.

Delete everything EXCEPT "c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-14.EA1a.bin".  This is your IOS.

I see the 2.4 Mb free but used space is 3Mb not sure why I cant see 2Mb space , please advise

It might be your working with a flash formatted such that erased space isn't recovered for deleted files.

Some older Cisco system only supported that flash formatting, but some can be upgraded to the newer flash format if you format (not erase) your flash.  (NB: reformatting you flash will completely erase all its contents, so if you do that, be sure you have some place to store necessary contents so you can restore them.)
