2950 high latency

Hi All

What causes high latency on the 2950? I have the following configuration:

Building A Building B

3750------------------2950

dashed line = wireless link between building A and building B

I have setup trunk between the two switches. When I ping the 2950 from the 3750 the latency is extremely high in the thousands. The wireless link between the switches experiences no latency at all. Only when you ping the 2950 switch.

Please help me understand what is causing this high latency?

NB: cable and media converters have been checked.

1. What's the latency when you ping from a PC behind 2950 to the other PC behind 3750?

2. What's CPU utilization on 2950 when you experienced this issue?

3. Is there the same latency when you ping 3750 from 2950?

Hello Warren,

Can you provide the IOS image running on the switch or sh ver output .

There is bug for high response times for ping packets to SVI of 2950. Please upgrade the latest IOS and let us know if you have issues or not.
