Hi Bryan,
If you do not see anything on console there is nothing much can be do other then replacing your switch.
You can try changing console cable if you haven't and give it a try. Also try changing baud rate on your hyper terminal and se if you get anything on console and if still no luck sad to say its bad hardware.
