Hi all,

I was going through datasheets of 2960s/x/plus. I saw in 2960 plus that no value for switching bandwidth is given however its written that switching bandwidth is full duplex capacity

What does this mean

Well,

Not mush reason for telling that bandwidth is full duplex w/o a number. I think that missing line

E.G. for 2960X data is following:

Performance and Scalability

2960-X LAN Lite

2960-X LAN Base

2960-XR IP Lite

Forwarding bandwidth

50 Gbps

108 Gbps

108 Gbps

Switching bandwidth*

100 Gbps

216 Gbps

216 Gbps

* Switching bandwidth is full-duplex capacity.

So swithcing bandwidth ine is missing. You can consider that usually multiplying FW rate by 2. Swithicng rate is showing if switch fabric can accomadate both Tx and Rx forwrading rate (if yes then = FW rate * 2).
