2960G Port Setup

I am going to be connecting my 2960G to another network which will be sending multicast traffic that I need to record on my network.  However, due to the administrator of the network I am connecting to, I am not allowed to send them any of our data.  Basically, I need to configure a port on my switch that I can connect a feed from them and only recieve data, not send data.  Is there an easy way to set this up in the Cisco Network Assistant?

Thanks.

Hi,

could you please be a litte more specific?

What kind of data are you not allowed to send? Multicast? Or any data?

What's that 'feed', a multicast source? A router or switch?

Michael

You need to configure a multicast group and your port will be receiver and their end is the sender.
