3110X dot1q tunnel on etherchannel

I am trying to enable dot1q tunneling on a 3110X port-channel interface.  We have 4 switches stacked in our Bladecenter.  The configuration guide says that enabling dot1q tunneling on an etherchannel is valid but the cli disagrees.  Has anybody experienced this issue before?

Hold on ...

Are you trying to configure 802.1Q Trunking or Q-in-Q Tunneling?

Q-in-Q Tunneling

switchport mode dot1q-tunnel
