3550 switches and services dropping

Over the weekend we have several 3550 switches. I use a tool to monitor the interfaces and telnet & HTTP services. Around 5 pm on sunday all services dropped but the interfaces were still up and I was able to ping the switches. Everything was working except I was unable to telnet / HTTP into them.

I attempted to connect a console cable to them and was unable to get into them.

When I attempted to log in with hyperterminal I got the following error

" %% Low on momory; Try again later"

This happened on 10 switches all at the same time. After I rebooted one of them I was able to connect to it fine. I was unable to get any good logs to determine the problem though.

Has anyone here ever seen this?

Hello,

There are several software issues associated with the error message that you are getting.This can be verified after looking at the " show version" from your switch. Please paste the same.
