I received a 3560 replacement switch without an IOS. I have the IOS for the switch on hand. What would be best practice to load a new IOS on a 3560 switch?

Look for Document 41845..."Recovering Catalyst Fixed Configuration Switches from a Corrupted or Missing Image"

I have attached the document.

Hi Jaime,

Does your switch goes straight into the ROMMON? You can use XMODEM to load the IOS into the flash, but this process is extreme time consuming.
