Hi, I am having a problem with a newly installed 3560G-24 connecting via Fibre SFP to a 6509 GBIC blade. I have enabled UDLD Agressive mode on the two respective devices ports and after about 20 seconds the port on the 3560 reports a UDLD condition and shuts down. I have changed GBICs, SFPs, fibre patch cable and ports with the same results. The patch cable is 2 metres long (MM fibre SX SFP/GBIC) could this be the problem? All IOS/CatOS is new. Anyone any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

UniDirectional Link Detection (UDLD) is a Layer 2 protocol that detects and shuts down unidirectional links. You can configure UDLD on the entire switch or on an individual port. Use the udld reset command to reset all ports that have been shut down by UDLD.

I used to have the same problem. I put udld normal mode instead of aggressive mode. Working fine now.
