3560E/4510 Power Supplies

Hi,

One factor which is puzzling me is that why does Cisco has two power supply offerings for the 3560E? ie 1150W or 750W.

Similarly for 4510...2800W or 4200W.

what factor(s) will make you choose one rather than the other?

thx

POE ports.

It does say that for the 750W, the ports are PoE enabled.

Re: 3560E/4510 Power Supplies

It's not whether PoE ports are supported it's the number of PoE ports you can use. For example a 2800W power supply will not be able to power all the available ports in a 4510 chassis whereas a 4200W power supply would be able to.

So with both power supplies you can use PoE, it's just the number of PoE ports available.

Re: 3560E/4510 Power Supplies

For example:

WS-C3560-48PD - Supports up to 24 15.4W PoE devices connected.

WS-C3560E-48PD-F - Supports all 48 ports with 15.4W of PoE.

You should use the power calculator to find out which power supplies will work the best for your application.
