3560x SFP issues

Hello,

I have 2 Cisco switch WS-C3560X-24P-S and WS-C3560X-48P-S connected via fibre( multimode of 440Meters) and working perfectly well currently with using 1G MM SR SFP.

My client has insisted on changing the PID on the switches from 1 G to 10G (C3KX-NM-10G).

My constrain is the fibre cable, its multimode (440meters) and we can’t change it.

So which 10G SFP+ would work with the 10G PID module.

I have attached the cable details.

The Cisco SFP-10G-SR transceiver will work with that network module in a 3560X ( see compatibility matrix).

However it will probably not work reliably over a 440m multimode pair. The data sheet specifies 400m best case over the top quality (OM4-rated) multimode. It's not just optical power loss (the test results you shared look pretty good) but also characteristics such as modal bandwidth that govern this recommendation.

Just to add to Marvin's info, if your cable really is (according to your cable test report) 62.5 micron, 160 Mhz, 10g would only be spec good for 160 m.

Confirm what kind of cable you have, and using Marvin's reference link, you can determine spec distance for the optics.

For under 500m, I would believe almost any SM would be fine.

I would ask for the cable to be changed to singlemode>

any suggestion on the best type of cable spec is welcomed.
