I am familiar with how the encapsulation process works but I cannot find any good information on how encapsulation works when turning on Jumbo frames. Cisco's 3750 documentation referees to Jumbo Frames. Now is Cisco just confusing me or are they actually referring to Jumbo Packets? If Jumbo frames was only happening at Layer 2 it seems that multiple packets would be combined into a Jumbo frame. If the whole encapsulation process was changed and the PDU and packet were larger along with the frames this would make better sense to me. Anyone have a good resource that explains encapsulation with Jumbo Frames.
