Hi,

Can anyone explain what would happen in the following scenario

2x 3750 are configured in a stack and they have uplinks to the core switch.

when both the stackwise cables are disconneted, will the servers connected to the member switch still have connectivity to the core switch or only the master will have connectivty to core switch as it holds the configuration.

Thanks

Jay

“when both the stackwise cables are disconneted,”

Both switches will start to become master, if these switches are connected to uplink core-switche(s), those core-switches will find a duplicate IP coming off the two separate uplinks port individually connected to both stack switches. That is the beginning of chaos in the network.

Hope that answers your question.

Thanks

Not me because I've never seen TWO (2) stacking cables fail simultaneously.
